PROGRAMS

 

 

We deliver a wide range of different programs that can be customised to suit your needs and time-frames.

 

We generally start with a “taster session” which incorporates introduction to mindfulness, short practices and guided meditations to help participants understand the application and benefits of mindfulness in the workplace.

 

Based on the interest, we can deliver 4, 6 or 8 week courses to implement mindfulness within your organisation. The length and the content of the sessions will depend on your requirements.

 

The programs involve attention training practices, cognitive change strategies and hands-on mindfulness and meditation practices. Each module focuses on a significant issue in the work environment and helps employees to find optimal ways to deal with them. Each week you will be given formal and informal home practices and guided meditations to make mindfulness a part of your daily routine.

Leaders report that mindfulness training helped them to:

Researchers at the University of Washington found that HR professionals who took an eight week mindfulness course could concentrate better, stay on task longer, and remember what they’d done better than those who didn’t take the course.

In a study published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, participants trained in mindfulness meditation experienced significantly less emotional exhaustion and more job satisfaction than those who received no training.

Facilitators

 

 

Jon has been practising meditation and mindfulness for over 10 years and it became an essential part of his daily life. Mindfulness helps him to live in the moment and be fully present with people he works with. He currently lives in Brisbane and runs group and corporate mindfulness trainings in addition to his private practice.

 

 

Jon works with clients struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, mental illness, trauma and self-esteem issuesLYNDI SMITHLyndi Smith is a Brisbane-based mindfulness trainer with Mindfulness Works Australia and is a qualified mindfulness meditation teacher (BSY). She is trained in both secular and traditional mindfulness and runs Mind With Heart Australia, a charity taking mindfulness into schools and working closely with the Department of Education on a $250,000 research programme using mindfulness for teacher well-being.

 

Lyndi worked as a teacher for 15 years and started practising mindfulness near burn out ten years ago. Thanks to mindfulness, Lyndi now enjoys a happier, more balanced quality of life. She has racked up over 3,000 hours of practice and is committed to ongoing practice and professional development.

 

Lyndi has taught mindfulness for five years and has led over thirty mindfulness-and-compassion-based programmes with schools and organisations including the Dept. of Education, Queensland Police, Teachers Health Fund and Excite Media.
